MCCARTNEY TIPPED TO PAY TRIBUTE TO LINDA AT WEDDING

Paul McCartney will "pay tribute" to his late wife Linda McCartney at his wedding.
The Beatles legend is to tie the knot with American heiress Nancy Shevell at London's Marylebone Register Office today, the same venue where he married late first wife Linda in 1969.

It is believed he is set to "refer lovingly" to Linda, the mother of his four adult children, during the wedding reception at his home in front of 30 close friends and family members.
Meanwhile, the 69-year-old star will serenade Nancy at the low-key reception with Beatles classic Let It Be - which he sang to her during one of their first holidays together three years ago - as well as her most-loved track Let Me Roll It and a third, specially-written song.
Leaving his home in St. John's Wood, North London, Saturday night, Sir Paul said: "We're looking forward to it."

Asked whether he was nervous about the big day - which takes place on what would have been his late bandmate John Lennon's 71st birthday - he added: "Don't be silly, now. Of course not."
The music legend's youngest daughter, seven-year-old Beatrice - his only child with ex-wife Heather Mills, whom he divorced in 2008 following an acrimonious break-up - will act as a bridesmaid, while Nancy's dress has been personally designed by Paul's designer daughter, Stella.
As well as Stella and Beatrice, the singer's other three children, opted eldest daughter Heather, photographer Mary and son James - his kids with Linda, who died of breast cancer in 1998 - will also be in attendance.

In contrast to Paul's 1.5 million pound nuptials to Heather in 2003 in front of 300 guests at Castle Leslie in Ireland, the service - conducted by Superintendant registrar Alison Cathcart - will cost 1,540 pounds, followed by a "low-key" reception at the couple's home.
The pair's engagement was announced in May, with Paul giving Nancy a vintage 1925 Cartier engagement solitaire diamond ring and she admitted the proposal came as a "total surprise".

MCCARTNEY TO WED ON LENNON'S BIRTHDAY?

Paul McCartney is expected to wed his American fiancee Nancy Shevell today, at the same venue where he married his first wife Linda 42 years ago.
The date the couple have chosen is particularly poignant because it would have been John Lennon's 71st birthday.
According to The Telegraph, 30 guests are expected to attend the civil ceremony at Marylebone register office in central London, where the Beatle married Linda Eastman on March 12 1969.

This will be the 69-year-old musician's third marriage and 51-year-old Shevell's second.
The wedding reception is, reportedly, being held in the back garden of McCartney's house in St John's Wood, close to Abbey Road studios where the Beatles recorded most of their music.

The low-key wedding is in stark contrast to McCartney's second marriage to Heather Mills, a former glamour
model whom he divorced amid bitter acrimony in 2008.
McCartney met Mills a year after the death of his first wife, Linda, who died from breast cancer and at the time, his family were said to have shared their concerns that he was rushing into the marriage.
However it would appear that his marriage to Shevell is being warmly welcomed by his family and his designer daughter Stella created the dress that Shevell is set to wear today.
McCartney's younger brother Mike is set to be the best man at today's wedding with his daughter Beatrice, seven, from his marriage to Mills, acting as the bridesmaid.
